Edinburgh Whisky Academy Managing Director, Kirsty McKerrow had this to say:

We’re hoping that the significant savings in our Covid recovery package will help to support an industry that has been one of the worst-affected sectors of the economy during the pandemic. Customer expectations for excellent service remain and establishments are increasingly recognising the business benefits of having staff who understand whisky – from its history and production processes, to the ability to demonstrate how to nose and taste this delightfully complex spirit. We hope that this special package will help to increase access to a level of knowledge that can delight customers and increase sales for businesses as they strive to recover, as well as providing a way for workers to enhance their career paths within the hospitality industry.”
