Cocktails In The City (CITC) returns to London next week, with the first of three weekend mini-festivals held during the Summer months.
Each weekend sees 20-odd top-notch bars create pop-up experiences (there are too many hyphens in that sentence) in the beautiful Georgian surroundings of Bedford Square Garden. Visitors can graze, for want of a better term, drinks from some of the best bars in the UK, attend cocktail masterclass sessions, and generally have a grand old time in the sunshine, assuming the weather gods are kind. If the demands of work and a crippling addiction to social media mean you are behind on bar safari adventures, a trip to CITC will let you visit 20 in one day.
Members of the public pay £20 for tickets, but CITC’s organisers have created a special trade ticket which is available for the very reasonable sum of £5.50.

Regular readers will know that BarLifeUK like a B-Corp brand, because accreditation means the producer is working in an ethical and sustainable fashion. With that in mind, one of the bars on show next week popped out for us – Dover Yard at 1 Hotel Mayfair are hosting a B-Corp bar, featuring cocktails made with Hattiers Rum, Nc’nean Whisky, Avallen Calvados, and Everleaf Aperitif.
