Edinburgh Cocktail Week: Monday 11th – Sunday 24th October, 2021
The organisers of Edinburgh Cocktail Week have confirmed this year’s event will go ahead, with an extended two-week festival taking place in October. As in previous years, the Cocktail Village at Festival Square will be the central hub of the festival, filled as it will be with twenty pop-up bars serving £4 cocktails. Live music and local street food will also be on hand to accompany the drinks.
Festival organiser Gary Anderson says: ‘We are absolutely delighted to announce the return of Edinburgh Cocktail Week. Our festival attracts over 20,000 people every year, so the challenge for us has been how do we safely welcome everyone back and give them the fun, social festival experience that we have all waited so long for… It was clear we had to extend this year’s festival to two weeks to spread footfall over a longer period of time, allowing us to deliver a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience in the Cocktail Village and in the participating bars and pop-ups around the city.”
So far 80 of Edinburgh’s cocktail bars are slated to take part in Edinburgh Cocktail Week, each creating a special ‘Signature Cocktail’ in partnership with spirit brands, which wristband-holders will be able to purchase for £4 each. Confirmed bars include Tigerlily, Harvey Nichols, Cold Town House, Copper Blossom, Tonic, Candy Bar, The Boozy Cow, Indigo Yard, Whiski Rooms, Herringbone and Badger & Co. Other bars and pop-up events will be announced closer to October, and we will bring you word of these and any trade-specific news as it is released.
