House of U.S. Spirits Announce Immersive Trade Tasting Events in London and Manchester

House of U.S. Spirits Trade Events: 2nd September, London. 4th September, Manchester

The House of U.S. Spirits hosted their first UK trade event last year at TT, and at the time we described it as “the largest and most diverse collection of American spirits BarLifeUK has ever seen under one roof in the UK”.

The success of that event and enthusiasm of bartenders for American distilling has prompted the House of U.S. Spirits to return to our shores with an expanded programme this year, as Manchester joins London in hosting a flagship trade session.

Taking place over two weeks, between 24th August – 7th September, ‘Cheers! Spirits From The USA’ will provide a deep and immersive insight into American distilling and spirits by way of tasting sessions and cocktail masterclasses, all of which will include opportunities to sample and learn about craft liquids that bartenders may not have had a chance to taste until now.

The two flagship events will be of particular interest to BarLifeUK readers. Taking place in London (TT, September 2nd) and Manchester (The Whiskey Jar, September 4th), these trade-only sessions will both feature an ‘American Whiskey 101’ masterclass, with London also hosting a panel discussion designed to help amplify the voices of women in the US and UK whiskey industries, moderated by The Spirits Business Editor, Melita Kiely. Both London and Manchester events will also give bartenders the opportunity to taste a host of craft Bourbon, Tennessee Whiskey, American Rye Whiskey, and American Single Malt spirits.

Joel Matticks, spokesperson for House of U.S. Spirits, said of the two-week festival: “The aim of the game is showcasing and educating on American spirits. We are excited to showcase an array of products from small, medium, and large American distillers. With some of the most iconic spirits in the world, as well as a range of innovative new brands that are not yet available in the UK.”

Both trade sessions are free to attend, you just need to register in advance, using the links below:

Anyone with an interest in American Whiskey, and distilling in the U.S. in general, will find these trade sessions rewarding. The roster of liquids from craft distillers on hand for tasting is still growing, but you can find a list of those confirmed below. Read the list, come to the conclusion that our American cousins are much better at coming up with cool distillery names than us, then register for your closest trade session.
