London Cocktail Week: 4-13th October, 2019
Drinkup.London, the organiser of London’s Cocktail, Wine, and Beer Weeks, has announced an expanded programme for 2019’s London Cocktail Week (LCW), in celebration of the festival’s tenth birthday.
Two new mini-festivals have been added to the roster of LCW lead-in events, with Scotch Whisky Weekend (23-27 January) and Cognac Cocktail Weekend (24-28 April) joining World Gin Day (5-9 June) and Espresso Martini Fest (7-11 August) in the run-up to LCW. To mark ten years of LCW, these mini-festivals will be free to attend, with punters able to download a festival pass and subsequently get access to £6 drinks at participating venues.
LCW will expand from seven days to ten in 2019, and will feature events that ‘pay homage to the best bits of London Cocktail Week over the past decade, celebrating how far the global cocktail industry has come since year one of the festival’.
The first of Drinkup.London’s new events, Scotch Whisky Weekend, is just over a month away. Described as a celebration of the best places in London to drink whisky, it will form a great backdrop to bars and brands planning Burns Night celebrations.
Director of Festivals for DrinkUp.London Siobhan Payne adds: “It’s very exciting for us to be adding more events to the DrinkUp calendar in our tenth year, supporting our partnering venues and encouraging consumers to be more discerning about what they drink.”
