On March 5th & 6th, Manchester is hosting this years Northern Restaurant & Bar (NRB) exhibition, full of exhibitors, talks and Rematch Beeyatch.
NRB covers every aspect of the restaurant, pub and bar industry and of course that covers spirits, liqueurs, beers and many other bar relevant companies.
The educational side of the show is also vital and this year the Liquor Theatre is being run by Dave Marsland, aka Drinks Enthusiast. A full timetable can be found on the NRB website here, but some highlights include:
Rematch Beeyatch – It needs little introduction, it is the global phenomenon that tests a bartenders speed behind a bar. Make 9 rum based cocktails (and open a beer), in the quickest time, to take home the prize. The Liquorists very own Tom Sneesby is signed up so it’s pretty certain you won’t come last. More info here.
Alex Kammerling of Kamm & Sons – Alex is a keg of information that should be tapped as often as possible. He will be on hand to pass on some of his knowledge and give you the chance to find out about his very own Kamm & Sons.
Almost Famous vs Saltdog Slims – Manchester vs Liverpool. In an eat off. Live on stage. What could possibly go wrong?
Of course whilst your not improving your brain (or laughing at people make fools of themselves) you’ll want to find out what new and interesting products are on offer, and give them a sample or two.
The Spirit Room hosts many of the companies you’ll want to visit, including Babicka, Boutique Brands, Green Box Drinks, Distil Drinks, Hayman’s Distillers, Sloane’s Gin and Rhum St Barth.
Outside the Spirit room you’ll also find the likes of Malcolm Cowen, LWC, Eaux De Vie, Cellar Trends, Matthew Clark, Fentimans and Little Valley Brewery. Plus many, many more to keep your taste buds interested.
As you can see there is plenty going on so get yourself a day off work and follow this here link to register for free. We’ll see you there.
