Spirit of Speyside announce whisky, gin, and general drinks festival dates for 2020
The team behind Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival have released dates and details for three festivals taking place in the Spring and Summer of 2020:
Whisky Festival: 29 April – 4 May, venues across Speyside
Gin Experience: 10-12 July, venue to be announced
Distilled: 28-29 August, Elgin Town Hall
The Spirit of Speyside whisky festival, established in 1999, is the headline event and runs across six days at multiple locations, and includes all the masterclass-distillery-tour-master-blender-geek-out opportunities one would expect (this article will be updated with a full programme of events when it is released in the coming weeks).
Launched last year, the Gin Experience provides an opportunity to learn more about Scotland’s ever-growing gin distilling scene. Local producers will be on site, along with cocktails and tastings led by leading bartenders.
Distilled is described as ‘bringing the region’s world-leading drinks producers together under one roof at Elgin Town Hall. Whether it’s rubbing shoulders with master blenders, taking part in intimate masterclasses or feasting on great local produce, visitors will be immersed in Speyside’s world-famous food and drink larder.’
