Available immediately, the latest support for the UK hospitality industry’s own provides much needed supplies.
As the industry waits for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme money to actually come to fruition the folks at Edrington-Beam Suntory UK have teamed up with Speciality Drinks to get something useful into your hands straight away.
Anyone in the hospitality industry who has lost their job or find things particularly difficult as a direct result of the Coronavirus outbreak can apply online to be sent a food wellbeing pack. The team at Speciality Drinks sourced everything in these packs (which have been fully funded by Edrington-Beam Suntory), including essential store cupboard items. The packs contain things that have suddenly become luxury items such as pasta, teabags, soups/sauces, toilet paper, antibacterial washing up liquid, lentils, fruit squash and tinned vegetables.
1,000 have already been produced with scope for many more, if there is a demand. The packs will be delivered directly to your home by Speciality Drinks and ParcelForce.
You can apply for one of these packs (also available as vegan and gluten-free) directly at the Speciality Drinks website right now. Oh, and just in case there was any doubt this is open to anyone in hospitality struggling and nothing to do with working in an account of either company.
We think this is a great idea and no doubt will help take the stress off for a lot of you out there whilst the government get their ducks in order. Well done Edrington-Beam Suntory and Speciality Drinks for providing much needed help in such a practical and immediate way.
