The good folk at Buffalo Trace agree, and want to send you to their distillery in Kentucky to experience the heady joys of bourbon and foreign climes.
In fact, 12 bartenders will be flying stateside next year, and to be one of them you simply need to collect some corks.
The Buffalo Trace Cork Collector Scheme sets the challenge of collecting 1500 Buffalo Trace corks, and the first 12 bars to do so will win a place on the trip.
Earn bonus corks through promotions
Corks can of course be collected from bottles that you use in your bar, but smaller bars should not despair, as there are plenty of ways to collect ‘bonus corks’ by using branded POS and recommending Buffalo Trace to your customers.
Jeremy Hill, chairman of Buffalo Trace distributors Hi-Spirits, says: “We’ve come up with plenty of ideas for ways in which bars can earn bonus corks, but we know that our customers will come up with others. So we’re not limiting the scheme – we want bars to send us photos and examples of their promotions to earn extra points.
“We’ll also have a team of ‘Mystery Buffalos’ on the road. These mystery shoppers will visit bars stocking Buffalo Trace and award bonus corks to bars which promote the brand.”

The Buffalo Trace distillery, in Franklin County, Kentucky, is the oldest continually operating distillery site in the USA, and has just been named American Visitor Attraction of the Year by Whiskey Magazine.
As well as a behind-the-scenes tour hosted by Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, the four-night stay will include a VIP racing day at Louisville’s 4th Street Live.
