The Centinela Cocktail Cup will see three heats across the UK with the winner of each heat getting a trip to Mexico for the UK final.
That’s right folks you read right, win your heat and you get a trip to the home of Agave itself, Mexico.
Based on the massive success of the Flor De Cana competition last year which saw the winners of each heat got a trip to Nicaragua for the final (story on the trip to be live on BarLifeUK soon), Amathus are rolling out the concept for their leading tequila brand.
We don’t need to tell you what an amazing prize this is. BarLifeUK were lucky enough to go to Mexico last year and we can tell you it is a country you have to visit.
There will be three heats, one each in London, Scotland and the North of England, taking place in July.
To enter simply come up with a cocktail using any of the tequilas in the Centinela or Cabrito range, enter it in the form below before the 1st July and the best drinks will be invited to the regional heats for the chance to win a seat on the plane.
There are a few rules to stick to:
1 – Entries must draw inspiration from Casa Centinela, its heritage and provenance e.g. the history, culture and Mexican cuisine
2 – The recipe must contain a minimum of 35ml of any of the Cabrito and/or Centinela Tequilas
3 – Maximum of 7 ingredients including drops and dashes
4 – The cocktail must not exceed 70ml of alcohol
5 – Homemade ingredients are allowed
6 – You will have 5 minutes to make and serve your drink, including assembly of garnishes
You will be scored on the following – Appearance of drink (12 points), Aroma of drink (8 points), Taste of drink (20 points) Originality/creativity (10 points).
